The park commission of Chicago created Hamilton Park in 1904. It is one of ten parks in the south side that were part of a revolutionary system of neighborhood parks designed by nationally renowned landscape architects, the Olmsted brothers. Captivating grace and grandeur with nature inspired simplicity echo the historic lighting fixtures present in that era. A weathered Charcoal finish on an elaborate solid cast aluminum frame is complemented with seeded glass.
